Pre-requisite experience

No pre-requisite knowledge is required for this course but as this is designed for technicians and installers, previous exposure to fiber and data cabling installations would be advantageous.

Objectives

This course is aimed at helping the student install the Propel fiber panel system. Starting with the installation into the rack or cabinet, the course works through the basic installation process and how the components fit together. The course provides hints and recommendations throughout using short video extracts, set-up procedures and how to check fiber polarity safely. It also explains about the different MPO fiber connector styles, how they connect to the modules and adapter packs as well as cleaning and inspection.
