This course is intended primarily for anyone who needs to understand Security Systems, the cable Infrastructures and CommScope solutions that support them. The primary audience is for CommScope partners, consultants and 'end users' involved in security infrastructure specification and who wish to understand the technology to a 'specialist' level. This is an entry level course, SP7700 IBIS is NOT a pre-requisite to this course as SP7700 focus is on the broader topic of the SYSTIMAX IBIS (BAS) Solution, SP7710 is only focused on Security.
SAC is a specialist topic and knowledge of Enterprise infrastructures will be a benefit but is not a requirement for this course. The ideal design pre-requisites would be SP3321 SYSTIMAX Design and Engineering or SPUEND Uniprise Enterprise Network Designer.
The course goes well beyond that covered within the specific design courses and takes the student to a security 'specialist' level. The course covers Security and Access Control (SAC), The Convergence of IT and Security Infrastructures, Network Trends and Cabling, Analog and Digital Video Using Coax, Network (IP) Video, Network Video Surveillance Design and Considerations, Infrastructure Architecture and Design, SAC using Structured Cabling and Power over Ethernet (PoE).
You will study this course online in a self- paced format.
The course is made up of a number of webcast lessons and online multiple choice assessments giving immediate feedback. It is supported by a number of downloadable support documentation including IBIS design tools.
Any level of pass in the accumulative overall assessment score.
If you are involved in positioning or designing BAS during the sales or specification phase or responsible for project managing and need to understand this complex specialist infrastructure topic, then this course is for you.
Receive a certificate which can be self-printed. If you are a CommScope Partner you’ll be entered on the CommScope certification database and a badge is available to you via the Infrastructure Academy App if you are already qualified in SP3321 Authorized SYSTIMAX Engineering (ASE).
Participants completing this course may be eligible to receive Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits toward ASIS recertification. Individuals seeking recertification credit should check with ASIS and review the filing process at: http://www.asisonline.org/certification/recertification.htm
